It's been a fantastic Christmas so far! Last night was fun! I love the gift exchange and when Jef- I mean Santa, comes to visit! However, I didn't feel the greatest. My stomach didn't hurt, but it felt a little queazy and my mother was begging for the fire to be on, which I didn't want or need. I got home, tested out a ShamWOW (It's kinda bogus.) Watched Chelsea Lately and headed off to DreamLand. I had trouble getting to sleep! I didn't fall asleep till about midnight and was quickly woken up by Paige at 7:10. "Zach we can open our presents now." Um, NO. Presents are nice, but every time I open presents I feel bad because now I have to wait a whole another year until I get to do it again. I try to savor every moment. So I replied, "5 more minutes" and proceeded to slam my face back into my pillow. 5 minutes later, I'm being told that yes, it has been 5 minutes. I get up, and go downstairs with the rest of my family. We had to wait for mom though because she had to let Kobe out through the front door since the back door was frozen shut and the snow was up to our waists. Mom leaving meant more time to spare! She did, however, return and we opened our presents. I have to say, my presents were pretty sweet!!!! I got a new knit cap, pants, a Pittsburgh Pirates Christmas ornament, iTunes, A "The Office" calendar for my room, candy, $10 gift card to Targetto. Also.............an iHome!!!!! A lamp for me to read in my room at night!!!!! A picture of my Memaw for my room!!! A hunting game for the Wii!! And a bedside table. Now, I have to admit, the bedside table is a funny story. In 4th grade, I got a stuff animal that I became obsessed with. It was like a little puffin, a relative of the penguin. My mom had recently purchased a coffee maker, and I took the box to make a home for my stuffed animal. Over the next 3 years, the box became a little table for me to rest my cups, books, etc on. It irked my mom, but I found the box useful. Now, FINALLY, I have a table to set all my things on!!! Yayyyy!!!!! However, I must never forget that box that got me through over the years. I have placed in the basement, and labeled it, "Zach's Box."

And. Finally. Another story about another gift. Last night at the gift exchange, I picked a box that I was hoping had an entertaining shirt in it. It did! It had a shirt with my face (which I didn't even recognize!!!!!!) and the name of my blog on it. I was ecstatic to have been lucky enough to receive that shirt. Then, right out of the blue, my Uncle Al stole it from me. I was downcast. I then received a cocktail book. Thanks for taking that off my shoulders, Sarah. And then I got a dashboard thing for my car. I don't have a car. We'll keep that one in the basement for a few years....I went home and while I was in bed, I started putting two and two together. Why had Al stolen it from me? Why had my mother not let me steal it back? Hmmmmm. This morning, I got the pleasant surprise I was hoping for. Signed from Uncle Al, I got the shirt in a perfect size. The two other shirts from the exchange had problems, and I was getting the perfect shirt in the morning. So, now, I want to thank Mom and Uncle Al, for concocting this plan for me. The shirt is amazing.

Merry Christmas to one and all! It's been a great 30 days.....even if I skipped a few times!!!! Can't wait till next year!

Color Me Gone,

Zach :)
